As part of it’s ongoing Briefing Series, Helen Keller International and NewsCred hosted an evening of important information and insight about the impact the devistating Ebola epidemic will have on Sierra Leone’s already fragile health care system in the years to come.
Emily Toubali, Helen Keller International’s Senior Program Manager for Neglected Tropical Diseases, joined remotely by Fatmata Sesay, Helen Keller International’s Nutrition Program Manager for Sierra Leone and a native Sierra Leonean, led a discussion on how and why the epidemic has overwhelmed Sierra Leone’s health system, what will be needed to prevent this in future, and how Helen Keller International will participate in the rebuilding process once the epidemic is brought under control.
