HKI builds capacity for preventing and treating malnutrition, and for improved nutritional surveillance in Guinea, Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger.

Conakry, Guinea –On September 28, 2007, the Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA) of the United States Government approved a 1.5 million dollar grant to support initiatives to prevent and treat malnutrition and improve nutritional surveillance in Guinea, Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger.  The grant will fund an existing program in the Sahel, and an expansion into Guinea.  The total value of the program in Guinea is 239,291 USD, with $165,291 in support from OFDA.
