Maggie Jacoby

Maggie Jacoby

Maggie is the Communications Coordinator at Helen Keller International and has responsibility for HKI’s website, social media initiatives, e-communications, and public relations. In June 2010, she visited Africa for the first time as part of a team creating videos of HKI’s programs in Tanzania. Previous to working at HKI she worked for a local New York City non-profit that teaches kids about philanthropy and service. She has also spent time working with widows in India, and began her career in development and communications at the International Rescue Committee. When not spreading the word about ways to prevent blindness and reduce malnutrition, she is working on her yoga practice and trying to make it through each week’s New Yorker.

Jennifer Klopp

Jennifer is the Vice President of Development and Communications at Helen Keller International and has spent the last seven years heading up HKI's fundraising and outreach activities. She has had the opportunity to visit many of the organization's sight-and life-saving programs around the world, including Vitamin A Supplementation in Tanzania, School Health and Trachoma Control in Burkina Faso, Onchocerciasis Control in Cameroon, Homestead Food Production in Cambodia, ChildSight® in New Mexico, and an inclusive education program in Indonesia. When not in awe of HKI’s work on the ground, she tries to enjoy all New York City has to offer, while also planning her next trip to New Orleans’ JazzFest.
